Dar Zhor Association Launches Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign – Pink October 2023

Last Wednesday, the Dar Zhor Association launched its Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for October 2023, as part of Pink October.

This campaign aims to inform, educate, and encourage women to undergo regular check-ups for the early detection of a disease that continues to claim thousands of lives in Morocco.

“Breast cancer remains a complex challenge to overcome, impacting not only patients’ physical health but also their psychological, emotional, and social well-being. Each year, more than 12,000 women in Morocco are diagnosed with breast cancer, and nearly 4,000 lose their lives to the disease. Faced with this alarming reality, the Dar Zhor Association has taken the initiative to act by launching a national awareness campaign on screening and early diagnosis of this formidable illness,” the Association stated in a press release.
